True Textiles
True Textiles (formerly InterfaceFABRIC, Inc.) is the world’s leading panel fabric producer, as well as a major supplier of fabrics for seating, wall coverings, cubicle curtains. If you’ve been in an office anywhere, you may have had a seat on some of their product. Working closely with a designer, I took his website templates and created very lean CSS/HTML templates with a dash of Flash and a sprinkling of some jQuery magic here and there.
The whole site is running on ExpressionEngine – in fact, we’re using the EE Multi-Site Manager to run four separate sites off of one Control Panel installation. There is some really cool usage of EE features, such as related entries, so that management of cross-links from section to section is a breeze. I also had to modify some existing plugins to better fit this particular project, which required some PHP coding. I even saw the need for a special kind of field in the Control Panel, so I went as far as creating a new EE Extension called Dulee Noted.
The project turned out well – and on a dime, considering the short time frame we had to make it all happen.
