50,000feet: Vibes
50,000feet, a Chicago-based design agency, designed a new site for Vibes, a mobile marketing company and turned to Masuga Design for the front-end CSS/HTML development and ExpressionEngine implementation.
Vibes.com is very flexible and gives the editors a lot of control from adding, moving, and reorganizing pages in the main navigation to determining whole template styles as easily as they would select an item from a pulldown menu. Even the entire homepage Flash splash movie reads an ExpressionEngine generated dynamic XML file based on the client’s input in the admin area—the client is really in charge of everything you see on this site.
The CSS and HTML was done with a number of transparent PNG images, making development quicker, and page load times that much faster (obviously, those visitors using IE6 won’t see any of the best stuff, but they’re taken care of too, and get a very similar experience when visiting the site).
Masuga Design also ended up modifying and extending an existing “Breadcrumb” EE plugin to better fit the way this site is structured.
